To become a member of the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Company, you must:

• Be 18 years of age or above (Regular, Associate, or Social Membership)

• Be 16-17 years of age (Regular, Associate, or Social Membership).  Parental signature required.

Membership Information

• Downloadable application can be found here.

• A $20.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application.
  If you are a currently authorized Fire/EMS responder within Baltimore County, the fee is 10.00.
  There is NO FEE for Cadet applications.

• Have a non-certified copy of your current drivers license.

• Have 3 references with telephone numbers. These numbers must be local numbers and must reference a non-relative.

• Pass a background check once your application has been received.

• Have photocopies of any pertinent certifications.

• Application processing will take approximately 6 to 8 weeks.

Regular Member Requirements

Complete all State of Maryland & Rosedale VFC training requirements for Fire Suppression Responders or Emergency Medical Service responders. (See Membership Committee Contact for further details.)

Make 10 emergency responses per year (EMS or Fire)

Attend 6 hours of Fire and/or EMS training every 6 months

Work 6 hours of non-emergency fund raising every 6 months

Have 50 LOSAP hours per year

Faithfully support By-laws

Follow Standard Operating Procedures

Complete assigned housework

Participate on the Community Room team during the probationary period

Pay membership dues each year

Complete any other duties as assigned by a company officer

Associate Member Requirements

Work 12 hours of non-emergency fund raising every 6 months

Faithfully support By-laws

Follow Standard Operating Procedures

Complete assigned housework

Participate on the Community Room team during the probationary period

Pay membership dues each year

Complete any other duties as assigned by a company officer

Social Member Requirements

Work 6 hours of non-emergency fund raising every 6 months.

Faithfully support Bylaws.
