Covid-19 - Our response

March 19, 2020

Greetings everyone, as with other organizations, here is our Covid-19 statement:

As the Covid–19 situation is unfolding, we will continue to make proactive decisions that are grounded in care for our community and our volunteers, guided by the CDC, the state of Maryland and the federal government.

During this period of national emergency, we would like to politely discourage casual visits to the firehouse. We are also asking our own volunteers to practice social distancing unless they are directly involved with firehouse emergency operations.

Any requests for emergency services should be directed to the 911 system so that they may be able to evaluate the best resources for each incident. Unless there is an immediate life threat, we ask our community to refrain from directly visiting fire stations for medical assistance. Our resources may be deployed at that moment and transport to medical facilities may be delayed.

We are largely subject to the same directives as any commercial operation. For that reason, all future events are regrettably suspended. This includes our Palm Sunday Breakfast and our summer carnival. We are committed to bringing our community fun and interesting events in the future and will certainly keep you informed of any upcoming occasions!

We will continue to respond to all emergencies in a normal and professional manner. We are committed to protecting the citizens of Baltimore County and that will not change!

Thank you for your continued support!
