Membership Requirements

To become a member of the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Company, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or above (Regular membership)

  • Be 16 years of age or above (Associate membership). Parental signature required if under 18.

Membership Information

  • Applications will be accepted on Monday or Tuesday evenings between 6:00pm - 8:30pm.

  • Downloadable pdf application here: Please bring a completed copy of this application with you.

  • A $65.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application.

  • Have a non-certified copy of your current drivers license.

  • Have 3 references with telephone numbers.
    These numbers must be local numbers and must reference a non-relative.

  • Pass a background check once your application has been received.

  • Have photocopies of any pertinent certifications.

  • Application processing will take approximately 6 to 8 weeks.

Associate Member:

Work 12 hours of non-emergency fund raising every 6 months.

Faithfully support By-laws.

Follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Complete assigned housework.

Participate on the Community Room  team during the probationary  period.

Pay membership dues each year.

 Complete any other duties as assigned by a company officer.

 

 

 


Regular Member Requirements

Complete all State of Maryland & Rosedale VFC training requirements for Fire Suppression responders or Emergency Medical Service responders. (See Membership Committee Contact for further details.)

Make 10 emergency responses per year (EMS or Fire).

Attend 2 hours of EMS training every 6 months.

Attend 4 hours of Fire training every 6 months.

Work 8 hours of non-emergency fund raising every 6 months.

Have 50 LOSAP hours per year.

Faithfully support By-laws.

Follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Complete assigned housework.

Participate on the Community Room  team during the probationary  period.

Pay membership dues each year.

Complete any other duties as assigned by a company officer.
