On Saturday June 3rd at 1624 hours, Fire Box 28-10 was struck for a dwelling fire in the 5500 block of Hamilton Avenue. The initial alert brought BC3, E281 (Hueter), E16, E8, E7, and T8. BC3 (Fannon) arrived first and reported smoke showing from a 1.5 story wood-frame dwelling. BC3 also requested a working fire dispatch shortly after arrival, bringing E71, E15, T15 and M16. E16 dropped a 4" supply line from the hydrant, pulled a 1 3/4" handline and initiated an aggressive interior attack on the remnants of a kitchen fire. Units from Rosedale and Fullerton assisted in ventilation and overhaul operations. The cause of the fire was unknown, so Fire Investigation was requested to investigate the scene. The last unit cleared the scene at 2003 hours.
